In this film Sara plays the role of Hindu girl, while Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of Muslim boy. A few weeks after the release of Kedarnath, Khan starred in Rohit Shetty’s action film Simmba, with co-star Ranveer Singh. Simmba is a loosely based on the Telugu-language film Temper (2015). Simmba emerged as the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2018. Kedarnath was released in December 2018.
